This is meant to feel easy.

A woman holding two young children, one with blonde hair and the other with brown hair, sharing a red Popsicle outdoors under a cloudy sky.

it’s simple, I promise

From the first email to the final images, my goal is simple:

To make this feel relaxed, natural, and genuinely enjoyable.

You don’t need to know what you’re doing.
You don’t need to prepare perfectly.

I’ll guide you through everything.

A woman holding a sleeping baby wrapped in a patterned wrap carrier, with part of a child's face and hand visible in the foreground.
A group of people enjoying time outdoors in the sunlight. One person is spraying water from a hose, with water droplets flying through the air. The focus is on a young woman with wet hair and a bright smile, wearing a light-colored t-shirt, with her arms raised in excitement.

step1: BEFORE YOUR SESSION

Once you reach out, we’ll start with a quick conversation to get a feel for your family and what you’re hoping for.

From there, I’ll help you with:
– choosing the right type of session
– location ideas (or in-home guidance)
– timing for the best light
– what to wear (simple, stress-free suggestions)

You won’t be left guessing.

Step 2: PREPARING (OR… NOT OVERPREPARING)

You don’t need to turn your life upside down for this.

No deep cleaning your house.
No perfectly coordinated outfits. (unless you want to)
No pressure for your kids to behave a certain way.

The more you let things be as they are, the better your photos will feel.

A young girl with light-colored hair, wearing a dress with leaf and plant patterns, holding a frog in her hands outdoors with trees and clouds in the background, in black and white.
A person riding a scooter on a track, with a chain-link fence, trees, a building labeled 'Science Center,' and a parking lot in the background, under a cloudy sky.

STEP 3: DURING YOUR SESSION

This is the part most people worry about — and the part that ends up surprising them.

You won’t be asked to stand stiffly and smile at the camera.

Instead, I’ll gently guide you into moments and then step back so things can unfold naturally.

Your kids can move.
You can relax.
You can interact the way you normally do.

Most families tell me afterward:

“That was way easier than I expected.”

STEP 4: AFTER YOUR SESSION You don’t need to turn your life upside down for this.

After your session, I’ll carefully go through your images and select the strongest moments.

You’ll receive your gallery with time to:
– look through everything
– choose your favorites
– decide how you want to preserve them

Whether that’s digital images, prints, or an album, I’ll guide you through the process so nothing feels overwhelming.

Child looking at their reflection in a reflective spherical object, with kitchen items and an apple in the foreground.

STEP 5: TURNING THIS INTO SOMETHING LASTING

The goal isn’t just to take photos.

It’s to create something you’ll come back to years from now.

Something your kids will see.
Something that holds this version of your life.

FOR FAMILIES WANTING MORE

If you already know you want more than a single session, I offer a Year in the Life experience.

This allows us to document your family across multiple moments throughout the year — so you’re not trying to capture everything in one day.

You don’t need to wait for the “perfect” time.

You don’t need everything to be figured out.

You just need to start.
