Your family, as they really are — over time.

A year-long photography experience capturing your family across seasons, through connection, change, and everyday life.

Limited availability each year for a small number of families.

The most meaningful moments in a family’s life rarely happen all at once. They unfold slowly — in the quiet mornings, the chaotic afternoons, and the in-between seasons you don’t realize you’ll miss until they’re gone.

Year in the Life is designed to preserve that unfolding story.

Two women are inside a bedroom with blue lighting. One woman with curly hair and bangs is sitting on the floor, leaning against a white dresser with black knobs, reaching out to the other woman. The other woman, with red hair, is standing and reaching down towards the first woman. The bedroom features a padded headboard, a colorful bedspread, a laundry basket, and a poster of a cartoon animal on the wall.

HOW IT WORKS

  • We begin with your first session and set the tone for your year

  • Sessions are scheduled seasonally with flexibility built in

  • I document your family as life naturally unfolds

  • At the end of the year, your story is brought together in a custom heirloom album

What can I expect during my session?

Meet the newest member of one of my Year in the Life families — a little glimpse of their newborn session at home.

Why I created Year in the Life

I didn’t start photography as a business — I started by documenting my own family.

At the time, I wasn’t trying to create anything polished or perfect. I just wanted to remember what our days actually felt like — the small moments, the chaos, the connection, the way everything was constantly changing without me realizing it.

Over time, those images became some of my most treasured possessions. Not because they were perfect, but because they hold the feeling of a season of life that no longer exists in the same way.

Year in the Life grew from that place.

It’s the way I believe family photography is meant to be experienced — not as a single moment, but as a story that unfolds over time. A way to hold onto what would otherwise slip by.

what my clients are saying

“This is one of the most meaningful things we’ve ever invested in. We plan to have Jenna document our childrens’ lives indefinitely. Absolutely worth every penny and more!”

A small child with blonde hair, wearing pajamas with colorful patterns and a white paper crown with the name 'Jules' embroidered on it, peeking out from behind a wooden dresser in a bedroom, next to a wooden crib with vertical bars.
A blackboard with colorful cursive writing saying 'Welcome to the World, Baby Jules.' Below the blackboard, there are balloons of various colors and a small baby wearing a birthday hat and lying among the balloons. A woman is reaching towards the balloons. Part of her arm and face are visible on the left side of the image.

Important Note About Your Commitment

The Year in the Life package is a year-long commitment — both creatively and financially. When you join, you’re reserving a place in my calendar across all four (or six) seasons, and I intentionally limit these bookings to give your family the time, care, and presence your story deserves.

This is a subscription-based offering with a monthly payment structure.
Because I hold space for your family throughout the year, all payments are non-refundable, even if sessions are rescheduled or missed.

If you're unsure about making a year-long commitment, I warmly invite you to begin with a single documentary session to experience the magic before diving in fully.

Because of the level of time and intention this requires, I take on a limited number of Year in the Life families each year.
