A Colorado Guest Ranch Family Session | Tucson Family Photographer

There are some sessions that feel like stepping into a storybook — and this was one of them.

This summer, I had the joy of photographing an extended family session at a stunning guest ranch in Colorado. For the past 10 years, this incredible family has returned to Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch to spend their summers together. It’s become more than just a vacation spot — it’s a tradition, a legacy, and a place where countless memories have been made.

To be invited to document this milestone year felt like the highest honor. There were so many heartfelt moments: cousins running through wide open fields, grandparents surrounded by their children and grandchildren, laughter echoing against the backdrop of the mountains, and quiet connections that spoke volumes about the bond they share.

What made this session especially meaningful was the sense of continuity and connection. Each photograph became a piece of a larger story — one that this family has been writing together for a decade. It was a reminder of why I love family photography so deeply: because it preserves traditions, emotions, and everyday magic that might otherwise slip away.

I am endlessly grateful to this family for trusting me to tell their story in such a meaningful place, and I left with a full heart (and a lot of bug spray in my bag 🤠).

For families here in Tucson, know that the same kind of storytelling can happen right at home or in the places most meaningful to you. Whether it’s your living room, a desert trail, or your own family tradition, I’d be honored to capture the connections and moments that make your story unique.

If you’re ready to create timeless images that celebrate your family’s love and legacy, I’d love to chat. 📸
